When Businesses move to an area, the can provide services, employment, regeneration plus much needed income to a Local Authority so it is in Local Government’s best interests to provide those Business with easy-to-use tools & channels to access the information/local authority services/grants etc. to set-up and start operating in that particular area.

Not a lot of focus has been given to the “Business” services delivered by a Local Authority which is why we are working with Software Solved to deliver a 1 day Service Hack to identify the Requirements for a “Best of Breed” Business Services Portal/Digital Platform for Local Government.

Attendees will:

* Assume the role of a council working with businesses or a business trying to deal with a council (primarily the considering the SME community)
* Learn from a full UX (User Experience) Process
* Input on Needs that will define the requirements for both business and Local Authorities with a view to developing a digital solution that will help to optimise the performance of local economies
* Input on Design by helping shape what a solution could look like and help to wireframe design concepts that will be used to develop an alpha/prototype
* Input on how a collaborative approach between Local Authroities could better enable the devlopment of a “Best of Breed” Business Services Portal/Digital Platform for Local Government
* Test & Feedback on Alphas
