The workshop will be delivered in two parts.

Part One: will be a two-hour online workshop where you will undertake a Data Maturity Assessment using Data Orchard’s specialist assessment tool. You will then explore the results in small groups with expert support.

Part Two: Following the online workshop you will join a fun and interactive in-person workshop. During the in-person workshop you will be taken through the process of preparing a data strategy for your organisation.

You will end the in-person day with:

* a skeleton data strategy
* a high level strategy development plan
* an outline business case to take back to your organisation.

You will learn how to:

* use a data maturity framework to structure your approach to data across an organisation
* understand your organisation’s current state in terms of all aspects of data maturity
* describe a realistic future state in terms of your organisation’s corporate priorities
* plot a roadmap to your future state
* monitor and evidence progress
* link data strategy to digital and technology strategy

Cost: £699 + VAT

We will schedule a date for the online and in-person sessions once we have a cohort of 10 people.

About the facilitator:

Ben Proctor is the Innovation Director of Data Orchard CIC: a social enterprise that works exclusively with nonprofits and public bodies. Data Orchard developed its own data Maturity Framework which was used by UK Government as the basis of its own Data Maturity Framework. Data Orchard also maintains a Data Maturity Assessment Tool which has been used by hundreds of organisations and thousands of individuals worldwide.

While at Data Orchard Ben has supported many non-profit and public sector organisations to develop their own Data Strategies.

Before joining Data Orchard Ben worked in customer services, digital transformation and communications in local authorities and was Head of Customer Services and ICT at North Shropshire District Council and Head of Web and Communications at Herefordshire Council. He is also a city and county councillor in Hereford.

Ben has delivered successful, impactful and popular training courses for public sector professionals over the past 20 years.
